Police investigating 3 retail break-ins that occurred over night

Holland Police investigated 3 business/commercial break-ins early Thursday morning in the 700 block of Chicago Drive and police believe they are related to other incidents in the Holland – Zeeland area.

Officers are investigating breaking and entering where suspects smashed out the front doors of 2 businesses and a church. Little Ceaser’s at 716 Chicago Drive, Engelsman’s Nursery at 716 Chicago Drive and Engedi Church at 716 Chicago Drive, various suites in the Cedar Village business complex were broken into by the suspects smashing the front door to the business which is the modus operandi in other business break-ins in Holland Township and Zeeland area.

Police are working with business owners and the other LE agencies in the area to develop possible suspects. Suspects attempted to steal a safe from one of the locations however were unsuccessful.

Police are urging all business owners to be aware of suspicious subjects that may be in the area casing their establishment as well as suspicious vehicles seen in the area at the time of closing. Anyone suspicious should be checked by calling police at 1-800-249-0911.
